FARMINGTON, CT – May 21, 2025 – Yoga In Our City, presented by ConnectiCare, announced today the return of the program’s 13th season, which began on May 18 and runs through October 12. The program offers no-cost, accessible yoga classes at parks in Bridgeport, Hartford, New Haven, and Waterbury.
With the goal of creating an inclusive space for individuals of all ages and ability levels to experience yoga, the program hosts more than 700 yoga classes annually at no cost to participants, led by local teachers in each city.
“As we begin our 13th season of Yoga In Our City, we’re honored to keep creating welcoming spaces for people to move, breathe, and connect together,” said Yizza Galdamez, Managing Director of Yoga In Our City. “With continued support from our partners at ConnectiCare, we’re proud to offer yoga that’s inclusive, and held right in the heart of our public parks across Connecticut. Whether it’s your first class or your hundredth, there’s a place for you on the mat.”
The 2025 season includes classes seven days per week at select parks, including classes led by bilingual teachers. Participants are encouraged to bring a bottle of water and a yoga mat, towel, or blanket to each class.
“ConnectiCare believes in a holistic approach to health and Yoga In Our City provides an opportunity to exercise and engage with others, two contributing factors to overall well-being,” said Kimberly Kann, AVP of growth and community engagement at ConnectiCare. “We are proud, once again, to sponsor this summer staple which brings Connecticut communities together and promotes a healthy lifestyle.”
